Spleen is a fragile and gentle piece that speaks about communication with our past, present and future. Emotional and delicate, it brings back the people that enter and exit our lives, like when you smell something that reminds you of a specific person or hear a song that brings you back to a specific time and place. Spleen makes us remember.

Edan Gorlicki (b. 1982) started dancing in California and studied in the Reut and Wizo schools of performing arts in Haifa, Israel. In 2000 he joined the Batsheva ensemble Dance Company where he trained and performed using the Gaga technique developed by Ohad Naharin. In 2003 he joined the Inbal Pinto Dance Company with which he toured worldwide. In addition, he has worked independently with choreographers such as Paul Selwyn Norton, Emmanuel Gat, Shlomi Bitton, Sharon Eyal, Mami Shimazaki, Ronit Ziv, Yossi Berg, Ido Tadmor, Yossi Yunigman and Yair Vardi. Gorlicki has created numerous works for the Suzanne Dellal Center for Music and Dance in Tel Aviv and premiered his work Sex Cells in the Netherlands in June 2007. He is also a contemporary modern dance teacher and teaches hip-hop dance and improvisation technique.

“I do not know exactly for how long I have been sitting in this chair. It could have been twenty seconds or two hours. I could stand up and get ready for bed, but I do not know if I really want to. Or it could be that I am already asleep and I have
a deeply boring dream in which I am the only cast. I can not tell if my eyes are open awake or closed asleep, it makes no difference anyway...”

Corneliu Ganea (b. 1980) studied at Liceul de Arte, in Galati and Bucharest, Romania. Furthermore he followed an education at SBBS, Zürich. In 2000 he joined Ballet Theater Augsburg, Germany and in 2004 he started working for Ballet Theater Munich, Germany. Since 2006 he has been dancing for Galili Dance in Groningen, the Netherlands. He choreographed several pieces for Ballet Theater Augsburg and Theater Munich and has received numerous awards and prizes as
a dancer and choreographer in Germany, Japan and Spain.

Random Collision (Groningen, The Netherlands)
Random Collision is an international collective based in Groningen that focuses on contemporary choreography. The initiative arises from the need for an environment for beginning choreographers, where they are able to express, explore and exchange creative ideas. Random Collision provides a creative surrounding in which they are able to research their personal style of movement and focus on their own choreographies. In addition, the company stimulates and challenges the creators to collaborate with artists from different disciplines. Random Collision involves the choreographers in the production and promotion side of the business as well. The public is able to engage in the creative process via Studio Presentations and they can experience the dynamics of dance for themselves in classes and workshops.
