The international conference dedicated to participative theatre and innovative work with audiences.

In May 2017, Arts and Theatre Institute, partner of the Create to Connect project, organises a conference titled Over the Edge: Risk, Fear and Courage in (Theatre) Creation, which will explore the theme of contemporary documentary theatre from different perspectives. The conference will take place within the Flora Theatre Festival in Olomouc on 13th and 14th May 2017.

The conference is bringing together Czech and international artists, theatre actors and professionals – artists and theatre managers from France, The Netherlands, Italy, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Sweden and UK will attend the conference. The topic of the conferences explores the issue of participation and participatory approach. 

Create to Connect is a joint project of 13 European cultural and research organisations that aims to create long-lasting connections of artists, professionals, researchers and audience. The organisations have comitted to research new approaches to audience education, as well as the production models that will engage the audience in innovative ways.
