    Kriton Klingler-Ioannides, an all-round musician and composer from Berlin, performing live at the 9 Tage wach production of Staatsschauspiel Dresden, introduces his music project connecting darker tones of indie-rock with electronics.

    Kriton Klingler-Ioannides (1977) graduated from theatre, film and media studies in Frankfurt am Main, from media studies and systematic musical science at University in Hamburg and also attended visual communication courses at the University of Fine Arts there, led by Wim Wenders and Gerd Roscher. He works as a free-lance musician and producer, creator of audio/visual works, feature films and documentaries. He regularly composes music for the European Film Academy (EFA) events. He created stage music for Schauspiel Frankfurt, Volkstheater Munich, Schaubühne and Volksbühne Berlin, etc. He composed music for the Staatsschauspiel Dresden adaptation of Grimmelshausen’s novel Simplicius Simplicissimus (2014) directed by Simon Solberg, followed by Zwischenspiel (2014, directed by Malte Schiller), Alle meine Söhne (2015, directed by Sandra Strunz) and finally 9 Tage wach (9 Days Awake). His aesthetic oscillates somewhere in between Trentemøller, The Kills and Anna Calvi vibes.
