Actress and dancer of Czech-Nigerian origin Angela Nwagbo studied alternative and puppet theatre acting at DAMU, which reflects her multi-genre focus in her professional career. She has been involved in drama, alternative, musical and movement theatre, and performs contemporary dance as well as urban and African dance. In 2023, she did a dance internship at the École des Sables in Dakar. Outside of the arts, she conducts anthropological research on African and Afro-Czech identities at the University of Hradec Králové. As an Afro-Czech, she feels the need to bring attention to issues of cultural and ethnic identity through her original work in the field of performing arts.
