Susanne Kirnbauer (1942) is an Austrian dancer and choreographer. She launched her career at the age of 8 at the Vienna State Opera and in 1956, she earned her first contract with the Vienna State Opera ballet company, where she rose to the rank of principal dancer. There, she danced leading roles from both the classical and contemporary ballet repertoires. After retiring from her career as an active dancer in her mid-40s, she took over the leadership of the Volksoper Wien ballet department. She received the Gold Medal of Merit from the Province of Vienna for her choreographic achievements in 2022.
