Silvia Vollmann (b. 1991) is artistically active on both Czech and Slovak stages. She studied Puppet Theatre Directing and Dramaturgy at the Academy of Performing Arts (VŠMU) in Bratislava. She was nominated for the DOSKY award in the category of talent of the year for her production with elements of documentary drama Hola, Madrid! (2013). Since the 2017/18 season, she has been the artistic director of Divadlo na cucky! in Olomouc, where she has staged, among others, her original productions My BFF (2015), MATE (2016), Jsem do tebe (I Am Into You, 2018), 1993 (co-production with Peter Mankovecký Theatre Bratislava, 2018), Zatrolleno (Trolled, 2020), and Masaryk(ová) (2023).
She focuses on original projects, particularly for teenage audiences – she has been invited to guest-direct at venues such as the Andrej Bagar Theatre in Nitra, Štúdio 12 in Bratislava, the Městské divadlo Žilina, and the New Theatre in Nitra. She also directs fairy tales for children at renowned Slovak puppet theatres (Žilina, Bratislava, Košice). At Divadlo X10 in Prague, she guest-directed David Mamet’s The Cryptogram.
The production Slovaks Will Come Alive. Anthem for the 21st Century that she co-directed won the DOSKY 2025 Award for Outstanding Achievement in Drama.
