Uhol_92 is Slovak independent theatre group from Bratislava founded in February 2017 by three colleagues from Academy of Performing Arts Bratislava: Peter Galdík, Jakub Szatinský and Alžbeta Vrzgula.
The name (Uhol means Angle) refers to a belonging to the first generation born in an independent democratic Slovakia. From this point of view, they analyse the present in various artistic, but mostly theatrical projects.
Productions created under the banner of Uhol_92 have met with an extraordinary response from both audiences and critics, as evidenced by numerous guest appearances at international festivals, awarded residencies, and the 2022 DOSKY Awards for direction and costumes (Ponížení a krvilační). Nevertheless, in the current season, the ensemble is operating without any support from public sources. The Slovak Arts Council overturned the decision of the expert committee, and after eight years of successful creation, they were granted zero funding.
