A memory of Self-Accusation as well as a new direction for Na zábradlí theatre. --- The jubilee anniversary of the Flora Theatre festival seems apt to retrospect. Dušan D. Pařízek offers an unexpected score. Six years ago, within the director’s focus at the festival, we saw his staging of Peter Handke’s drama Self-Accusation with the amazing Austrian actress Stefanie Reinsperger who was also the face of the 2016 FLORA festival – in the picture with audience member and light designer Pařízek in the first row. The ceremonial opening of the 25. annual of the Flora Theatre Festival on Tuesday 10. May will be organized under the baton of The Great Dictator.
The member of Cologne drama ensemble pays tribute to Chaplin and his timeless film satire in the energetic show STEFKO HANUSHEVSKY TELLS THE GREAT DICTATOR. Painfully current production by Rafael Sanchez was nominated for the Kölner Kulturpreis 2021.

show moreFlora starts exactly in a quarter of a year
A premiere of a coproduction project of Divadlo na cucky, Kolonie and A Studio Rubín will open the 25. anniversary Flora Theatre Festival on Monday 9. May. Its thirteen-day programme will be then ceremonially opened by Schauspiel Köln.
The 25 Flora programme has the leitmotif Beautiful New World 2.022, which reacts to the autumn festival dramaturgy and will offer around seventy events at thirteen venues. The individual productions will be introduced in the upcoming weeks, ticket sale will launch in April. You can already save the date 9.–21. May in your diary!

Dear festival visitors, even though we did not have a chance to close the festival the way we planned – with a weekend full of dance – we are happy we had a chance to show you more than 40 events at 7 festival venues during our nine-week festival marathon. We would like to thank everyone of you who decided to come to see our festival programme, respected the anti-epidemic measures and acted responsibly and with consideration. We are looking forward to seeing you in five months. The 25. anniversary festival edition will be organized within the dates of 9. to 21. May 2022.

Dear festival visitors, we are very sorry to announce that we will not be able to close the festival in a way we hoped for – with the Sunday production of TANK by Doris Uhlich – and are obliged to cancel it due to a knee injury of the dancer. The purchased tickets can be returned at the Moravské divadlo ticket office from Monday 13. December To Wednesday 15. December 2021. For more information read on.
