Video invitation: contemporary dance already this weekend at Flora

Remarkable productions of contemporary European dance scene are also part of this year’s programme. We will show the visually inspiring production MEDÚZA by the Czech-French team tYhle choreographed by Marie Gourdain (30 October at 7 p.m., K3 hall) already this Saturday and on the following day, we will show a choreographically precise and emotionally charged performance LION’S DEN by the creative duo Sabina Bočková & Johana Pocková (31 October at 5 p.m., K3 hall). 6 November: engaged production HABIBI 2196–18 by the renowned Slovak dancer and choreographer Yuri Korec opening and intercultural dialog about xenophobia and unaccepted sexual otherness. Yuri will also give a workshop on the following day 7 November called From Stillness to Movement.

4 December: French choreographer and visual artist Marie Gourdain will uncover her creative and movement principles in her workshop Body and Image.

11 December: A witty Hungarian-Finnish probe into different yet close cultural identities which was shortlisted as one of twenty best dance-performative pieces by the Aerowaves platform LONG TIME NO SEE! by the creative duo Simkó Beatrix – Jenna Jalonen.

12 December: the 24 Flora Theatre Festival will be crowned by the solo performance TANK of a well-respected personality of the European dance and performing scene Doris Uhlich from Austria.
