The 27^th Flora Theatre Festival will start on the stage of the Moravian Theatre in exactly a quarter of a year. This year's Flora is going to be officially opened on Friday, 10 May, with The New Life / Das neue Leben, a virtuosic piece of acting, music and art by Christopher Rüping…

Dante's poetry meets songs by Britney Spears and Meat Loaf in this riveting, imaginative production by one of the most important figures of the contemporary German-language scene, with which the international ensemble Schauspielhaus Bochum opened last year's Berliner Theatertreffen to great acclaim. This is the second time the progressive dramatic company from Bochum is coming to Olomouc – two years ago they appeared at the 25^th Flora with their monodrama Noise. The Sound of the Crowd with the excellent Gina Haller.

The twelve-day festival, taking place on 9–20 May in both familiar and new locations, is going to be framed by this year’s motto Freedom. The festival programme will be published gradually. Tickets will go on sale in early April. Dear spectators, we look forward to seeing you!
