After a year, the biggest live art festival in the Olomouc region starts. What is new this year and who can you look forward to?

During twelve days in May, Olomouc will once again come alive with a theatre celebration. The 27th edition of the international multi-genre festival will present renowned ensembles and theatre personalities from eleven countries. Festival visitors can look forward to seventy events, which will take place on the stage of Moravské divadlo, in the transformed S-klub, in the festival tent at the University courtyard, in the Divadlo na hucky or in the new Museum space called Central. Some performances are completely sold out, but there are still seats available for others!

Freedom at 27 Flora – be there with us!

The traditional printed newsletter will be replaced this year by three different information channels. The current events at the festival will once again be recorded by a team of videographers (Michal Švarc, Jiří Šlofar, Vít Hradil and Lukáš Citnar). Their reports and clips will be available on YouTube, but mainly on Facebook and Instagram.

In the news section on our website, you can look forward to interviews with theatre personalities and a rich photo gallery from each day. This year, photographers Lukáš Horký and Michal Hančovský will be hunting for moments from the festival's buzz.

The third medium – and the big news – will be the student platform FloraLab. Students from universities (Prague, Brno, Bratislava, Olomouc) who are participating in the educational programme of the same name will bring their fresh perspective in the form of commentaries, surveys, interviews with creative teams or recordings of discussions.

We believe that new points of view and the variety of their forms will contribute to the most colourful reflection of the Flora Theatre Festival, which has woven „freedom“ into its motto this year.
