One day a peach was brought to grandma and grandpa by river. And a little boy was born inside the peach... His name was Momotaró! The puppet fairy tale of students of Theatre Academy of Performing Arts (Dept. of Alternative and Puppet Theatre, led by SKUTR duo) will take you to one of the most famous stories of old Japan.

A story of an adventurous journey of group of friends who walk the top of mountains as well as the sea bottom to make sure everything turns out well.

Department of Alternative and Puppet Theatre at the Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts – KALD DAMU originated in 1990 from the Department of Puppetry which operated at the academy from 1952. After the revolution in 1989 (mainly thanks to personalities such as Jan Borna, Josef Krofta, Karel Makonj and others) the studies have moved towards more physical and performative art. Since 2011 the department has been led by Jiří Havelka. Among its graduates we can find many actors who have already made their mark in theatre or film or help shape the theatre world such as Miřenka Čechová, Rostislav Novák and Cirk La Putyka, SKUTR, Vosto5, Boca Loca Lab, 11:55 and others.
