A programme line dedicated to Ingmar Bergman will form an independent part of the 23rd Flora Theatre Festival. Its motto for this year – CRIES AND WHISPERS – of course refers to one of his films.

The festival will offer a selection of works from his lifelong production over the course of several days. The programme will include also two Czech theatre stagings of Bergman's oeuvre performed six times, Stanislava Přádná's lecture on the Swedish director and the latest documentary called Searching for Ingmar Bergman (director: Margarethe von Trotta). 

Six of his key films – Wild Strawberries, The Silence, Persona, Cries and Whispers, Autumn Sonata and Scenes from a Marriage – will be screened in the film hall at Konvikt, Palacký University Art Centre.

 The screening of the documentary film is sponsored by the Goethe-Institut in Prague.
